Hehe.. I'm not looking at missing verses (this time) But could the reason be ".... and for a preense make long prayers" I've been to a couple of locations where the prayers are indeed long. Perhaps, they don't want be "receiving greater condemnation" so they take it (even if they did place it the footnotes it is not really there) out to make it okay to have long prayers.
Only being silly here, but not a bad interpretation.

i've been reading alot of posts about spouses trying to get through to their mates still in dubville - with mixed results.
it seems to go like this: after some internal questioning the exiting mate shares what they learn with the stilladub mate.
at first the stilladub mate may be receptive and even share some of their own doubts and unresolved questions.
It is really nice to see that I am not the only one in this situation.

can i receive a proper baptism by one church in the name of the father, son, and holy spirit and then determine where i would like to go for fulfilling fellowship.
or do i have to get baptised each time i settle into a new location or go to a new church.
i would love to have something that will provide me a baptism and communion only deal with no strings attached.
A lot of churches recognize my family and I (those outside of the JW) . I've been baptised by one and leave my info there. No one really minds. I get info from all. :-)

in the 1960s my mother and father came to this country knowing one language, one religion, and what hard work ethics were.
they were in a complete aw of what america was like.
they came here with very little knowledge and very little monies, so wed be safe to say that they were very gullible right.

Again, if you want to find out and discuss the NWT real flaws (and there are many) you'd better compare it with modern versions which have taken into account the results of 19th- and 20th-century textual criticism (ascertaining an older state of the NT texts by comparing the best, i.e., earliest available manuscripts) rather than older versions like the KJV (and NKJV) which rest on a very late and shaky textual basis.
Counter-intuitive as this may be (a more recent Bible reflects an older text) that's how it works as a rule of thumb.
Nope, you did not offend me at all. I also don't want to look like a critic here. As I become more aware of the differences in various translations it almost comes to a point of where to really look for answers. That's all I wanted my posts to point to is questions I was being sincer in wanting to have answered.
